Saltmarsh Cajun Cook-off 2010

Last Friday was the 4th annual Saltmarsh Cook-off raising money for the Manna Food Pantries. The theme this year was Cajun/Mardi Gras... a fun time was had by all!The ladies who orchestrated the event; Beth V, Kathy, Angelika and Lisa!

Pensacola Marathon

We had 2 Saltmarsh employees run in the Pensacola 1/2 Marathon and full Marathon this past week... congrats Lisa and Cedric!

Another big congrats to Lisa for winning the "Female Masters" division of the 1/2 marathon!!!!!

And Stephen was able to provide a photograph of Cedric after finishing the complete marathon!

Florida Trend Ranks Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund Among Top Firms

The November 2010 issue of Florida Trend Magazine lists its picks of the “Top Rank Florida Accounting Firms.” Saltmarsh is recognized on the list with 88 professionals, three Florida Offices and Ronald E. Jackson, CPA, President, as the Senior Executive. Other firms of note include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young and KPMG.

There was a great turnout today at the Pensacola Country Club for the SunTrust/Saltmarsh breakfast seminar.The keynote speakers John Mascaro, CPA, Senior Manager with Saltmarsh and Aki Pampush, CFA, Managing Director with SunTrust Bank Thanks to Judy G. for coordinating the event, John M. for his informative presentation and Emily, Allison, Beth V., Maureen and Sheldon for attending the breakfast!

New Employee - Benny Gaines

On Monday, October 25th, Benny Gaines joined the Pensacola office as a Senior Manager in our Retirement and Medical Plan (RAMP) Consulting Department. He will also have other tax department responsibilities. Benny is a graduate of University of Alabama and has his Virginia CPA license. He has extensive Big 4 and industry accounting and tax experience. Benny comes to us with 10 years of experience in 401k plan consulting and reporting, and 18 years of public accounting experience, primarily in the tax area. His most recent position was Senior Vice President-Accounting, with Coastal Community Bank in Panama City Beach.

Benny’s office is between Jim Speed and Kelly Rysula.
