FWB "Fun Day"
submitted by Allyson Oury
Thank you so much for the "Fun Day", Glenn!!! We all had a great time together!
The FWB office enjoyed a "Fun Day" outing on Friday, September 4th. Glenn planned the day...the details of which were kept a secret from the staff. We piled into his van were off to lunch at Moe's, an office favorite.
Our first "Fun Day" activity brought us to the local bowling alley. The first game was "standard" bowling and the second game had to be bowled with the opposite hand and "granny-style" (five frames each). Surprisingly, some of our scores didn't vary much either way! Turns out you can throw a gutter ball with either hand. Afterwards, we competed with one-turn each on the Mrs. Pac-Man machine. It was easy to tell those of us grew up with this game from those that did not!
We set off in the Scharf-mobile again and our new destination was Goofy Golf. We played a round at the 50+ year old famous local course...and even gave the owner some accounting tips, as she is pursuing her degree! After golf, our final stop was Baskin Robbins where we all enjoyed some great ice cream and tallied the "Fun Day" point totals. Lisa Goodwin was crowned the "Fun Day Queen" and accepted the monkey trophy, which is proudly displayed on her desk until next year.
